The Tri-Leaf Luffa is a vigorous, heat-tolerant annual vine from the cucumber family, known for its lush, deeply lobed leaves (hence "tri-leaf") and prolific, smooth, deep-green cylindrical gourds that grow 10-16 inches long and dry into high-quality, fibrous sponges for exfoliating skin or household cleaning, offering an eco-friendly alternative to plastic scrubbers. Ipomoea Aquatica Water Spinach L.P.1, Kang Kong, Ong Choy, Swamp Cabbage, River Spinach, Hollow Stem

This plant is known in English as water spinach, river spinach, water morning glory, water convolvulus, or by the more ambiguous names Chinese spinach, Chinese watercress, Chinese convolvulus or swamp cabbage, or kangkong in Southeast Asia and ong choy in Cantonese.

Water spinach has light green ovate leaves, its stems are hollow, so they can float on the water. Both leaves and stems are edible and can be used as the way you use spinach. Under tropical conditions, water spinach can be harvested throughout the year, as the leaves grow again after harvesting. In cooler climates, it is grown as annual, mostly in wide containers.

Water spinach is an annual or perennial, aquatic herb whose stem is hollow, spongy and 2–3 m long. It trails or foats on water and is glabrous, or hairy at the nodes. The stem also contains a milky sap. The surfaces of the leaves are even and arrowhead-shaped. The blades extend up to 5–15 cm and are 2–6 cm broad, whereas the petiole is about 3–14 cm in length. The leaves generally foat on water. The fruits are oval-shaped and enclose 1–4 seeds. Seeds may differ in color ranging from gray, brown to black. The flowers are bisexual, funnel shaped and are white to light purple in color.

Chinese celery is an aromatic plant with a strong, peppery flavor, thin, hollow, crisp stems, and delicate leaves. Also known as kintsai or leaf celery, it is commonly used in Asian cuisines.

Appearance: It features long, narrow, hollow stems that can be white to dark green, or even pink depending on the variety. The leaves are delicate and wispy.

Flavor: It has a pungent and peppery flavor that is more intense than standard celery. The taste softens and sweetens when cooked.

Usage: It is rarely eaten raw and is primarily used for flavoring in cooked dishes. It is excellent in stir-fries, soups, and fried rice. Both the stems and leaves are edible.

Growing: Chinese celery is often easier to grow than its Western counterparts and can be cultivated in smaller spaces like pots. It is typically grown as an annual, though it is technically a biennial.

French & Belgian Witloof Chicory, Endive Chicory, Witloof di Bruxelles Seeds

Famous for the forced, blanched heads or ‘chicons’ that are loved by gourmets Chicory 'Brussels Witloof' is the traditional finely-textured variety used for forcing. It produces tightly packed high-quality leaves and is one of the finest tasting winter vegetables.
Witloof (meaning 'white leaf' in Flemish) has a delicious, tangy, unique flavour, very easy to grow, it needs to be blanched to obtain the characteristic pale yellow, but can be cut young for use without blanching.
Raw, cooked, baked, roasted, caramelised, stewed, sweet or savory, there are endless ways to enjoy Witloof chicory. It is served in most of central Europe as a hot dish, but also used occasionally in a salad. Use it raw for dipping, filling or chopped in salads. It can also be cooked, baked, roasted, caramelized, stewed, sweet or savory.
Origin:
Chicory describes a group of hardy annual or biennial cultivated plants developed from a common wild plant of Europe, western Asia, and Africa. Wild forms of endive grow in the same area as chicory, but extends farther to the east to India and beyond, including Siberia. The cultivated varieties are root chicory (Cichorium var. sativum) and salad chicory (Cichorium var. foliosum).
Chicory was introduced to England, Germany, Holland, and France in the 13th century. The French used it primarily for medicinal purposes to "comfort the weake and feeble stomack and to help gouty limbs and sore eyes".

Little Gem Lettuce Seeds, Heat Lettuce, Butterhead/Romaine Cross

Lettuce seeds can be planted directly into the garden soil.

Sow the seeds directly into the garden soil beginning in early spring starting 2 weeks prior to the last frost-free date.

Plant the tiny seeds 1/4" deep and later thin to 10" apart. Seeds can be planted every 3 weeks for a staggered harvest or once again in late summer for a fall harvest. Fall planting can occur 10 weeks before your average first frost date.

Build up a raised row of soil about 8" wide. Scatter the seeds in a line on top and then cover with 1/4” to 1/2" of soil. Keep the soil evenly moist. Lettuce seeds will germinate in 5-10 days depending on the soil temperature. Germination is slower in the cold weather of spring.

Lettuce has shallow roots so gently mulch around it to deter weeds and retain soil moisture.

The ways to harvest lettuce include harvesting it as a baby green by picking individual young leaves, harvesting the outer leaves as needed and letting the plants grow, or by harvesting the entire head by slicing it off about an inch above the soil.

Each packet contains 500 Little Gem Lettuce seedsLactuca sativa. Annual. Open-pollinated, heirloom, Non-GMO. Harvest in 50 days.

This packet plants a 60' row with 72 plants.
