Backorders 

Backorders are a fact of possibility in the 1000s of seed packets we fulfill regularly. Does it happen often? No. However, in reality, sometimes seed runs out and we both need to wait some time to fulfill. We strive for a 98% order fulfillment/order with most orders shipping complete. If you ordered a rare variety or popular variety, or variety from Europe, for example; sometimes a backorder can happen on one or two items.

Sometimes by time of picking orders, we run out and need to replenish our inventory. We usually ship backorders separately through pick slips. Lead times on backorders are typically 5-7 business days and rarely later if the variety is low demand. As soon as the seed is back available, we ship the pending orders immediately. No longer will we substitute.

On rare occassions, we cannot get replenishment until it becomes available again and you have to either join us in waiting or request a refund for that item. 

Other times, we have to replenish inventory from our main warehouse and fulfill accordingly; usually restocked on weekends.

Here is a list of items currently in backorder status until we refill inventory from stocking warehouse.

Backorders usually ship within 4-7 business days and it only happens when we run out.

1.  Some Zappa Seed products refill on weekends when backordered /or are substituted to the same seed/via our packet instead when necessary.

Once items are in receipt, you will be notified by email it has shipped.

Backorders are typically shipped by mail unless you've been provided a courier label with 2 or more labels in an order; one for initial shipment and one for backorder at receipt.
