You can grow your own sponges. Loofah is a plant in the squash family that loves warm weather. Drying the vegetable out and letting peeling back the skin reveals a incredible sponge that lasts. 

The three-lobed leaves are 7.5–20 centimetres (3–8 inches) wide.

The fruit, approximately 30 cm (12 in) long and maturing to brown, resembles a cucumber in shape and size.

The young fruit is eaten as a vegetable and is commonly grown for that purpose in tropical Asia. The young shoots, flowers and leaves can be cooked, and the mature seeds can be roasted for consumption.

Fresno peppers are a medium-sized chili variety named after Fresno, California, and are often mistaken for jalapeños due to their similar appearance. However, they have thinner walls, mature more quickly, and develop a brighter, fruitier flavor. While generally slightly hotter than jalapeños, Fresno peppers range from about 2,500 to 10,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). When harvested green, they offer a milder heat with a more vegetal taste, but as they ripen to red, they become hotter, sweeter, and noticeably more fruity.

Orange Lantern is a hot little chili that originated in South America.

The plants become relatively compact and produce masses of small very hot fruits, which look like small lanterns.

Plant in moist seed soil or peat briquettes and place warm. approx. 25-30 degrees for best germination The soil should be moist but not wet. Thunder Mountain Longhorn Chile (Guizhou, China) is a striking heirloom variety known for its long, twisted, wrinkled pods that can reach 8–12 inches. Peppers ripen from green to deep red and offer a rich, smoky, slightly earthy flavor with a slow-building heat. Popular in traditional Chinese cuisine, especially for stir-fries, drying, and chili oils.
