The first truly purple-skinned tomato with clusters of round 2" fruits. The undersides turn from green to a rosy red as it ripens.

History: World's first high anthocyanin tomato was developed by Jim Myers at Oregon State Univ. using traditional plant breeding techniques. Indigo Rose has beautiful eye-catching hues of deep purple where the sunshine hits the fruit to red/orange where it is shaded.

Garlic Chives is a chive type that tastes like garlic and has a massive, triangular stem. The plants have flattened leaves and elegant white flowers. This variety desires more warmth and grows slower than the common chives. The seeds need cold air before they can germinate. It is a perennial herb and blossoms after it has been cut.

Feeding

Melon. Vigorous morning glory vines will twine up any type of support and grow into lush, heavy-blooming plants. They are at their best on a sturdy fence.

Notes

Morning glory vines are fast climbers that will run up fences, poles, or taller plants such as sunflowers. Morning glory flowers close up during the afternoon hours.

Harvesting

Gather up the old vines after they are damaged by frost and compost them. Morning glories are related to tomatoes, sweet potatoes and other members of the nightshade family.

Troubleshooting

Many older strains of morning glory quickly become invasive weeds in warm summer climates. ‘Heavenly Blue’ and ‘Flying Saucers’ are safe choices because they set few seeds compared to many other varieties.
