Aji Limo / Lemon Drop

The Queen of the Night tomato is an heirloom variety from Germany, known for its striking appearance and rich, savory flavor. It features a unique color palette of orange-red, streaked with deep purple or black "shoulders" where the sun hits it, and a vermillion interior. These medium-sized, round tomatoes (3-3.5 oz) are juicy and well-suited for fresh eating, salads, and slicing. 

Exterior: An orange-red base with streaks of deep purple, black, or indigo. The dark coloring intensifies with more sun exposure.

Interior: A vibrant, fragrant, and juicy vermillion flesh.

Size: Medium-sized, typically 3 to 3.5 ounces. 

Flavor and use

Flavor: Rich, savory, and slightly tangy, with a sweet and fragrant taste. Some describe it as a well-balanced, mild tomato flavor.

Uses: Excellent for fresh eating, salads, and slicing. Its dense flesh also makes it suitable for gourmet sauces. 

A chocolate-colored bell pepper with a very sweet flavor. It ripens from green to dark brown on the outside and brick red flesh on the inside. This is our earliest pepper to harvest, with the first peppers ripening at around 57 days.

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 14 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5-gallon containers. Harvest peppers when they are full size and brown. 

The yellow marconi pepper, also known as the Golden Marconi pepper, is a large, sweet, Italian heirloom pepper that ripens from green to yellow. It's known for its crunchy texture and fruity sweetness.

Chile de arbol is a Mexican chili pepper with several names, including: 

Chile de arbol: The literal translation of this Spanish name is "chili from tree"

Bird's beak chile: Another name for this pepper

Rat's tail chile: Another name for this pepper

Tree chili: Another name for this pepperChile de Arbol are a favorite in Mexican cuisine because of their bold heat and subtle, natural smoky flavor. They originated in Chihuahua, Mexico and dry well with good red color for use as wreaths or other decorative items. Fresh pods can be pureed to make a sauce for chips or to season the pork filling for tamales. When left whole, they can add great flavor to oils and vinegar. Toasted pods can be ground into a powder to season red chile sauces or to create a spice rub.

Narrow pendant shaped fruits grow to 3” long and mature from light green to dark red with a woody stem. This vigorous plant can reach over 4 feet in height in one season and resembles a little tree. Capsicum annuum (90 days)

This beautiful cheese-type sweet pepper ripens from green to fire-engine red. One of the best pimento peppers to grow at home. This ribbed pepper is quite stunning in the garden or on your plate. Sheepnose Pimento Pepper is an Ohio heirloom, able to handle northern climates. Pimentos are great for stuffing, roasting, snacking, the classic cheese spread, and for stuffing olives.

Thick-walled, crisp, and juicy peppers are 3-4” wide by 2-3” wide with thick stems. Plants are 24” tall and easy to grow.

Taste: Aji Delight peppers have a sweet, fruity flavor with a hint of apple. 

Uses: Aji Delight peppers can be used fresh in salads, sliced in omelets or stir fries, or as a garnish. They can also be used to replace bell peppers in cooking. 

Growing: Aji Delight plants are easy to grow and produce a large crop of peppers. Seeds should be started indoors at least 8-10 weeks before the final frost date. 

Heat level: Aji Delight peppers are a no-heat variety, with a mutation that is uncommon in Capsicum baccatum.

The fruit is long and wrinkled, and ripens from green to a vibrant color like red, yellow, or chocolate. The fruit is similar in shape to the Fatalii pepper, but with smoother skin. 

The Devil's Tongue pepper has a sweet and lemony flavor with a slightly tangy undertone. 

The Devil's Tongue pepper is extremely hot, with a Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) rating of 125,000 to 325,000. 

The Devil's Tongue pepper is a popular choice for spicy salsas, hot sauces, and pickling. 

The Devil's Tongue pepper was discovered in the 1990s growing in the garden of an Amish farmer in Pennsylvania. Its exact origins and parentage are unknown.
