Seed Count

New Yorker tomato seeds produce an early-maturing, determinate, heirloom variety of tomato excellent for short-season and cool-climate gardening. These plants yield 4-6 ounce, globe-shaped tomatoes with smooth, crack-resistant skin and meaty red flesh, perfect for canning, sauces, salads, and fresh eating. To grow them, start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, transplant seedlings into pots after true leaves appear, and then move them outdoors to a sunny location after the last frost.

Heirloom Variety:

A well-established, open-pollinated variety known for its historical development in 1912 for northern climates.

Determinate Growth:

Plants grow to a compact size, making them suitable for small gardens and containers.

Early Maturing:

An extra-early variety that produces fruit ready for harvest in about 65-70 days.

Fruit Quality:

Features 4-6 ounce, flattened globe-shaped tomatoes that are smooth, meaty, and crack-resistant.

Best Uses:

Ideal for fresh eating, salads, sandwiches, and for canning, cooking, and sauces
