Autumn Giant Leek is a hardy, traditional variety prized for its thick white shafts and dark green leaves. It has a mild, sweet flavor and grows to a large size, making it ideal for autumn and early winter harvests. This leek performs well in cool climates and is excellent for soups, stews, and fresh cooking.

Mixture of Golden & Green Purslane. It has red stems and small, green leaves. It has a slightly sour or salty taste, similar to spinach and watercress. It can be used in many of the same ways as spinach and lettuce, such as in salads or sandwiches. Purslane grows in many parts of the world, in a wide range of environments.

Purslane is a pleasant salad herb, and excellent for scorbutic troubles. The succulent leaves and young shoots are cooling in spring salads, the older shoots are used as a pot-herb and the thick stems of plants that have run to seed are pickled in salt and vinegar to form winter salads.

Iceberg lettuce grows in small, dense heads. Commonly used in salads and sandwiches, they are prized more for their texture and crispiness than for the flavor of the leaves themselves. Iceberg was first cultivated in the Salinas Valley of California, then packed in ice and distributed across the US on trains, earning its namesake. Space plants 12" apart with 18" between rows.
