Rosmarinus is an evergreen plant (shrub) with thin needle-like leaves that resemble pine needles. If the leaves or flowers of Rosmarinus rub with fingers, you can feel the refreshing pleasant smell of the plant. For use in cooking and cosmetic purposes, rosemary can be grown in pots and containers at home, on a balcony or on a plot. Very unpretentious and prefers poor permeable soils with any composition, open solar location and partial protection from the wind. In our regions, Rosmarinus in a pot with the onset of temperatures close to 0 ° C is recommended to be transferred to cool rooms (on a terrace or loggia), where the plant will perfectly survive the winter. Rosmarinus easily tolerates drought.

Yellow Pear Beam's

Aji Amarillo is the chile most frequently used in Peru and probably the most important ingredient in Peruvian cooking. Aji means chili pepper and amarillo means yellow in Spanish. This chile is found in the famous appetizer Papa a la Huancaína (Potatoes with Spicy Cheese Sauce), and in the classic dish Ají de Gallina (Peruvian Creamed Spicy Chicken). Its fruity mango-like taste is delicious with a nice tropical aroma.

The Capsicum baccatum species all have fuzzy leaves as a distinguishing characteristic, and this one is no different. The plant is lanky and very large 4' - 5' tall. Sweet Banana

One of the dependable basics that just produces and grows like crazy. The Banana is one of the best sweet pepper varieties. It usually dodges the Pepper plant diseases too. If you take the 'growing sweet peppers 101 course' the Sweet Banana pepper is sure to be featured. One of the most reliable sweet pepper seeds available. Starts yellow and mellows to red.

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5 gallon containers. Harvest peppers when they are light yellow and full size.

‘Blue Pod Capucijner’ is an heirloom variety. It particularly beautiful flowers, pink and red, fading to blue as they wilt. The pods are deep maroon which change to blue through the season. An easy way to serve them is cut off the top of the pepper and remove the seeds. Stuff with a bit of fresh mozzarella and brush with olive oil. Grill until the peppers begin to soften and the cheese starts to melt.
