An outstanding selection of a solid heading radicchio with a 4-6” tall, elongated shape. Deep red/purple leaves with broad white mid-ribs are nice and crunchy with the tangy bitterness that radicchio is known for. We loved this variety for our winter CSA, as the tight wrapping on the heads meant that even when outer leaves were damaged from extreme cold, there was still a marketable head just a few leaves down. Also great harvested young as a loose head or for salad mix as cut-and-come-again greens.

Sugar Loaf chicory seeds grow like an upright, tightly headed, very large Romaine lettuce. Beneath the outer, pale-green, mild tasting leaves lies a blanched heart of sweet, pale-golden white leaves with extraordinary flavour. Sugar Loaf is perfect for late summer and fall harvests. We recommend pulling off a few of the enormous wrapper leaves and then lying the cylindrical core on its side and slicing across like a loaf of bread. Try a salad of Sugar Loaf with a hot oil dressing and croutons. Officially this endive is an escarole type. It's an old heirloom variety that sometimes goes by its French handle, Pain de Sucre.

Nocera Rosso sel. Giapponese is a delicious Italian pepper variety that is long and narrow with three lobes. It has thick sweet flesh and ripens from green to red. The plants are disease resistant. 85 days.

One of the oldest Italian peppers, belongs to the `giant` due to the average weight of the fruit of 400 g. Used fresh, processed or for pickles. Resistant to most diseases.

Very productive variety. medium-early cycle. The pods are green and produce, ripe, white and elongated seeds  ideal for vegetable soups

Small white bean Bush variety. Easy to grow. 65 or so days. You can pick them small and use as a fresh bean if you wish. Plant after soil has warmed up well, 1 seed every two inches 3/4 inch deep. The De Barao Pink Giant is a vigorous, indeterminate heirloom tomato originating from Russia and Latvia, prized for its exceptional hardiness, strong growth, and long, productive season. The plants grow very tall—often 6 to 8 feet—earning a “tomato tree” reputation, and require sturdy staking or caging due to their vigorous habit. Well adapted to challenging conditions, this variety tolerates cooler temperatures, partial shade, and adverse weather, while also showing good resistance to late blight. It produces abundant yields of large, pink, plum-shaped fruits weighing about 4 to 9 ounces, often with a small spout at the blossom end. Nice sweet flavor. It can be eaten raw, but it is also popular for making tomato paste and sauces.

Rio Grande tomato produces high yields of large red pear-shaped tomatoes. They are thick and meaty, with a flavor that is mildly sweet with a little of that old-fashioned tart tomato flavor. One of the best paste tomatoes to grow in hot climates and will withstand extremes in temperature, both hot and cold. An excellent choice for beginner gardeners. Highly disease resistant.

The ‘Anna Russian’ tomato is an early-maturing, indeterminate heirloom prized for its large, pinkish-red, heart-shaped (oxheart) fruits with distinctive green shoulders and a pointed blossom end. Fruits typically weigh 8–16 ounces and feature velvety, juicy, dense flesh with very few seeds, delivering an excellent sweet, rich, old-fashioned flavor that is naturally low in acidity. Although the plant’s wispy, finely cut foliage may appear delicate or even unhealthy, it is normal for this variety; the vigorous vines are highly productive, producing heavy yields in clusters of two to three fruits, especially impressive for an early-season tomato. The San Marzano paste tomato is Italy’s top choice as the perfect canning tomato. The flesh is much thicker with fewer seeds, and the taste is stronger, sweeter, and less acidic than Roma VF. This tomato processes well for paste, puree and canning due to their solid nature. Many find this variety better tasting than Roma. The 4’ plant is compact and a prolific producer of bright-red, 2-3” pointy plum-type, fruit over a long season. Crack resistant.
